Attribute Editor
1. WHAT IS THE ATTRIBUTE EDITOR?
provides information about all the nodes and attributes for the objects and material in your scene.
2. HOW IS IT DIFFERENT FROM THE CHANNEL BOX?
It shows and hides icon status line.
3. HOW DO YOU VIEW AN OBJECT’S ATTRIBUTES?
in the scene view select temple roof so it becomes the selected object.
to view the attribute editor click the show hide icon on the status line.
4. WHAT DOES EACH TAB REPRESENT?
the show and hide attribute tab shows the attribute.
the show and hide attribute settings hides and show the tool settings.
show or hide channel box/layer editor pops out.
5. THE FIRST TAB IS LABELED AS THE OBJECT’S NAME IS KNOWN AS WHICH NODE? WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT FEATURE OF THIS TAB?
the most important tab is temple roof.
6. DESCRIBE THE PURPOSE OF THE SHAPE NODE.
because the attributes establish the objects geometric shape or physical properties when the object is firs created.
7. DESCRIBE THE PURPOSE OF THE INPUT NODE.
attributes related to the objects construction history.
8. DESCRIBE THE INITIAL SHAPING GROUP AND LAMBERT NODES.
the initial shading group and lambert1 nodes are default nodes that relate to the default shading material for an object.
Surface Materials
1. WHAT DO THE SURFACE MATERIALS CONTROL?
it controls the color,shininess and reflectivity attributes of an object.
2. WHAT ARE TWO OTHER NAMES FOR THE SURFACE MATERIAL?
theyre also referred to as shader or shading material
3. HOW DO YOU ASSIGN A NEW MATERIAL TO AN OBJECT?
from the staus line select the rendering menu ser using the menu selector.
4. HOW DO YOU EDIT THE SHADING MATERIAL’S COLOR ATTRIBUTES?
in the attribute editor click in the gray box to the right of the word color.
